Flippers - A Necessary Evil or Underrated Treatment?

Flippers seem to get a bad wrap in the dental world. Newer solutions like implant supported crowns, or other treatment plans like bridges seem to be preferred, and there is no doubt that both can be excellent solutions. From the lab’s perspective, the profits associated with those other treatments are certainly better. However, when done properly a flipper can be an excellent option.

We present to you one case where a flipper saved the day for a mom that met an unexpected surprise while watching her kids play sports. Our patient was hit by a ball that found its way into the stands and right into her incisors. This knocked out her tooth and left her in need of a cost effective way to correct her smile.

We are always happy to be there to help restore a smile when the unplanned happens. It seems that sometimes even the spectators need to wear a mouth guard! Maybe that’s an untapped market that we could go into next…

The pictures below show the flipper that saved the day, as well as a collection of a few other cases we recently worked on.

We offer cast frame partials as well as flexible partials, and just about every other removable treatment option. If you primarily do crown and bridge restorations, we’ve got those covered as well.

Don’t hesitate to reach out to us if your looking for a new lab to partner with.
