What Lab Wants To Do Denture Relines or Repairs? We Do (Part 2)!

It seems that in today’s dental lab environment that many labs aren’t very eager to perform denture relines or repairs. And from a fiscal standpoint it makes sense. A lab that manages their business with a focus on maximizing their billable hours would much prefer to have their technicians producing dentures, or hybrid arches. And with the new wave of technology in the industry, labs are now shifting towards wanting to ensure that the expensive equipment they purchased is being leveraged to its maximum potential.

So necessary procedures like relines or repairs get pushed on the schedule for several days or weeks because they don’t have the high profit margins of other types of cases, and a machine won’t be performing the work. Labs that manage their business this way have less and less incentive to perform relines or repairs.

We’ve set out to be different from our competition. While other labs are focused on their technologically advanced lab and showing off their new equipment, the focus of Incisal Technologies is on meeting the needs of our customer. Sure, we have all the same technology as everyone else, but that isn’t what provides value for our clients.

We add value by being committed to providing industry leading quality products with extraordinary service all at a competitive price. So if your lab is saying they can’t meet you or your patients needs, give us an opportunity. You’ll be impressed with the value that we add.

The pictures below document from start to finish a recent reline that we completed. We performed the reline of this maxillary locator denture on a reline jig.

Relines are an excellent cost-effective treatment plan to reshape a patient’s ill-fitting denture to better fit the gum contours of their mouth. This can be performed on locator dentures, regular dentures and even acrylic hybrids.
